I think that Ferrucio's Riva has be the most valuable Riva in existence. I wonder if it belongs to the factory. But I do prefer it too.

I actually got to drive a 40 foot skater in 1998. Did 133mph on gps with twin 1090hp 540's. That's probably considered slow these days, but pretty cool for me being the 2nd time I ever drove a boat.

I'd done some engine work for the owner and he tossed me the helmet. It felt slow and bogged down until 105, then it popped out of the water and off we went. It was actually pretty easy (maybe deceptively so), but turning was pretty strange as it skipped across the water and I respect the racers that are able to get them through corners. It was on a lake in Texas and the opposite side of the lake was coming up pretty fast....pretty nervous trying to figure out how long it was going to take to slow down, but the owner chopped the throttle and we turned around and made some more passes.
